Tag : Eid sacrifice
This significant Islamic festival commemorates Prophet Ibrahim's (Abraham's) unwavering devotion to Allah, demonstrated by his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail (Ishmael) in obedience to God's command. In recognition of his faith, Allah provided a ram to sacrifice instead. Eid-ul-Adha, also known as the "Festival of Sacrifice," is celebrated by Muslims worldwide and coincides with the culmination of the Hajj pilgrimage. Traditions include performing the Eid prayer, sacrificing an animal (Qurbani), and distributing the meat among family, friends, and those in need.
